Why we love the library
Today was a dreich day, so we got the huge bag of library books out. We get the usual storybooks but for Ian the library mainly means... reference books. That boy devours information and can't get enough of them.
This months choices include Rubbish Trucks and Old Cars.
I love that he can change these reference books monthly (or fortnightly) and it doesn't cost me more than the fuel cost to go the library.
But... our library is a small one and I may have already checked out all the craft/fabric/wool based ones and half the cookery/interior design ones since we moved. Also it's only open 10.30-2.00 which when Ian is at Nursery means we don't go weekly like we used to in town.
Yet, we still love the library. For the infinite (in the eyes of a 4yo) factual books, for the story books we then love so much we buy them and the hours of reading time.
What are your favourite books to take out the library? And if you have littles, what are theirs?
